NESSI Interlinking Objectives

The general objectives for this task in relation with all the targeted audiences are mainly the following:

  • Creation of Awareness. This consists of informing the general and specialist audience about the existence of NESSI.
  • Understanding. This task consists of explaining a more specialist audience and project stakeholders, which benefits the project provides and how the results can be exploited.
  • Action. This stage consists of promoting the active participation in NESSI of the audiences. It also comprises the participation of NESSI in external initiatives and activities, related to the audiences targeted by this task.

Those three main objectives will be the basis for the activities with the different audiences. The specific objectives to be achieved by the Interlinking task in relation to each of the targeted audiences tackled by this deliverable are explained in the following sections.

NESSI NATIONAL INITIATIVES MAP OF COMPETENCES

The objective of the map of competences is to provide a clear insight of those technologies and sectors where the different countries are stronger in terms of knowledge and experience. This map should enable us to detect complementarities between countries and therefore recommend concrete collaborations. As a result, the map could be seen as a tool for partnership building, but also as a starting point for building new initiatives focused on very specific topics.

Every National and Regional Initiative has filled out the map with its expertise in each category.

Four levels of expertise can be selected:

  • High
  • Medium
  • Low
  • Null

The map should represent the knowledge, skills and experience of the NRIs in the competencies identified.

Competences Map Applications

Brief analysis

The high level map of competences by sector showed a high expertise in Government and Telecom

Competences Map Technologies

Brief analysis

The network expertise is high in Service Management, and quite meaningful in the areas of Digital business network, collaboration and integration, software quality and productivity in software development.
