NESSI is coordinated by 25 partners, representing large and small ICT companies, academia and users.

The 25 partners are composed of
- 13 founding companies: Atos Origin, BT, Engineering, HP, IBM, Nokia, ObjectWeb, SAP, Siemens,
  Software AG, Telecom Italia, Telefonica, Thales
- 3 partners representing the SME Community: MoMa, Rodan Systems and TIE
- 3 partners representing the Research Community: Lero, Fraunhofer SCAI and Universidad Politecnica
  de Madrid
- 3 partners representing the Users Community: these positions are currently open
- 3 partners representing the ICT Community in addition to the founding companies: Alcatel, LogicaCMG and
  Sun Microsystems
