NESSI publishes its 2008 Call for Partners
NESSI has just published a new Call for Partners. This is a unique opportunity to become involved in the coordination of NESSI, at a time where the evolution of NEXOF and the development of new services scenarios are at the heart of NESSI. The call is open to all NESSI members – and closes on 15th January 2008.

As ServiceWave 2008 just closes in Madrid, we would like to thank all the attendees and speakers who helped make this event a great success. With 250 attendees, the 4 day conference attracted a varied and pro-active audience. From lively industrial panels to innovative scientific papers, from corporate strategies to social events, ServiceWave 2008 achieved its goal of creating an exchange forum across all communities. Never before have engineers discussed with such intensity business models, never before have scientific papers been presented by so many representatives from industry – ServiceWave 2008 was the first event organised through a collaboration from the European and National Technology Platforms, from Networks of Excellence. And the event lived up to the expectations of this collaboration. A special thanks goes to Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, to Pr. Guillermo Cisneros, Director of ETSIT/UPM and to all his team for hosting this event.
We will put the presentations online before Xmas, and will announce the full details of ServiceWave 2009 by the end of January.

ServiceWave will be held from 10/12/2008 at 14 :00 until the 13/12/2008, immediately after the Future Internet Assembly event organised by the European Commission and hosted by UPM on the 9th and morning of the 10th December 2008.
NESSI reserves the right to close registration earlier in case maximum capacity is reached.

The SOI (Service-Oriented Infrastructure) Working Group supported by NESSI-Grid issued a new version of its Strategic Research Agenda on grid-like service-oriented utility infrastructures in November 2007. This second SRA version features a complete coverage of a multitude of envisioned business scenarios including their associated requirements and challenges. Furthermore, it incorporates community input collected by more than 40 independent research/infrastructure projects as well as experts of the field.

2008 elections in NESSI have resulted in changes both at Board and Steering Committee level.
The NESSI ETP IS CALLING FOR PARTNERS to join the Board and Steering Committee in charge of the coordination of the NESSI activities. Your complete application has to be sent by email to office@nessi-europe.eu no later than 15 January 2009.
